oily affair

checking out the drugstores lately for some new hair treatments, it seems that everything contains now oil...

assuming it all started with morocain oil... which is the best, obvi!

everytime i order at amazon i add this tiny little bottle to my cart!

but now a great variety of other products are now available...

of course, i tried some of them... ;-)

...i have to admit that i am a little addicted when it comes to new shampoos and conditioners... 

i always have to try it, and - of course - i buy the whole series... shampoo, conditioner, leave-in-conditioner, etc...

here is what i got from the oily treatments:

morocain oil - love it!! the best!! but a bit pricey and hard to get...

dove nourishing oil care: always love the 'dove-smell'!  

fructis oil repair 3: never was a fan of fructis, but the oil repair 3 convinced me! and i love the miraculous oil!

curls, curls, curls...

thanks to the tutorials and my new curling iron that i can use :-)

totally obsessed with it!

current obsession: you tube hair styling tutorials

i never was the one to spend hours on you tube… but from time to time i use it to get an inspiration for hair styling (already showed you the casual sock bun that i still do a lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMdh8nXwckU) and right now i am really into it.

it all started when i read in a magazine how to make the fishtail braid, but the description and pictures where a bit confusing… so i entered it in you tube and taaadaaa a very simple tutorial came up:

i really prefer those kinds of tutorials that are simple and clean, like the ones from the beauty department:

and maybe i will also learn how to use the curling iron that i possess since 2 year, but never used, simply as i don’t know exactly how and burnt myself once…

fake it

one of the few beauty treatments that i undergo on a regular basis is lash extensions!

i tried it for the wedding as my natural lashes are only very short and nearly invisible when not wearing tons of mascara…

i have to admit that i was very skeptical when i entered the studio for the first time.

but what can I say – after 1,5 h and 35 euros i have beautiful, long and voluminous lashes!

i was so thrilled with the result that i keep indulging myself with this luxury.

it just looks so perfect and natural – without any mascara or eyeliner.

summer must have!!

one of the most important summer must haves for me are pedicured toes!! 
it is also a summer trend that will never go out of fashion!!
it just looks perfect & neat in every situation:
in peep toes, sandals or just barefoot!
this summer i discovered gel nails for my toes  - french style and i absolutely love it! for ~ 4 weeks my toes look perfectly manicured! 
i can totally recommend this :-)

travel kit

as already mentioned i have a few make-up kits...
one of them is the 'pimpress travel kit' from benefit cosmetics.
i bought it back in may at the manchester airport when we had to wait seveal hours for our connection flight.
and to kill the time, i did a little duty free shopping... :-)

never used it... until now: we are going to turkey this saturday for a little holiday.
and as i plan to limit my luggage especially in the beauty and accessory department (...well... we'll see how this works out at all...) i count on this kit to be my major beauty tool...

with all make-up palettes that i own... and there are some...i truely do use this one daily!
the 'confessions of a concealaholic' from benefit cosmetics!
it's just perfect! the kit has everything you need for concealing & brightening - and the products in this kit like 'erase paste', 'lemon aid', 'boing' and 'eye bright' really work fantastic!
(though i am not so sure about the 'that gal' primer - but i use it, it smells good :-))
and i have to admit that i am totally into this nicely designed packaging...

that's probably the reason why i have quite number of kits at home that i haven't used yet... ;-)

just bought it because it looked so nicely...
