Kicking of 2013…

Now that we made it through the first weeks of 2013, it turns out that my New Year’s resolution of taking it slow and relaxing a bit more is already fading…

The first half-year seems already quite busy with big birthday parties (bunch of my girls, including me will turn 30 this yearK), dancing classes, and fitness classes, business trips, outside meetings, bachelor parties and weddings…

So… let’s see how 2013 will turn out. I think personally it will be an exciting year!

I am all into finding and buying a new (bigger) place for us, so this is my big goal for 2013!!

Keep your fingers crossed that we find our dream house/ apartment!

totally obsessed with it!

current obsession: you tube hair styling tutorials

i never was the one to spend hours on you tube… but from time to time i use it to get an inspiration for hair styling (already showed you the casual sock bun that i still do a lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMdh8nXwckU) and right now i am really into it.

it all started when i read in a magazine how to make the fishtail braid, but the description and pictures where a bit confusing… so i entered it in you tube and taaadaaa a very simple tutorial came up:

i really prefer those kinds of tutorials that are simple and clean, like the ones from the beauty department:

and maybe i will also learn how to use the curling iron that i possess since 2 year, but never used, simply as i don’t know exactly how and burnt myself once…

but i really want to have those loose curls, and it looks so simple!

getting into the spirit...

this weekend i kicked of the christmas spirit!

saturday i baked with the girls... starting around 11 am until 8 pm - we did tons of christmas cookies :-)


and sunday i was all over decorating our home... 

and this week's evening program is all about christmas markets.

current obsession: ox blood

seriously – i really have to restrain myself, otherwise i would by ANYTHING in this color!!

right now i am totally in love with ox blood.

and i have the feeling that you can combine it with any other color:

black and white (sure…), dark green, crème, nude, rose, cheetah prints, etc.

by now i already have a serious collection… hopefully i still wear this color next f/w season…

here are some items i call mine – and i am still contemplating for a leggings, another pants and a bag… typically me – i have to have it all…it’s like an addiction!

back in the mud

... well... not that bad, i have to admit... the wheather is still quite good for end of november... but anyway... nothing compared to hawaii!!!
what can i tell you... 3,5 weeks of sunshine, perfect beaches, palm trees and all kinds of beautiful jungle plants, surfing, stand up paddling, zip lining, comfort food, etc...
i really miss this!! 
especially the hang loose attitude that was so well present, so enjoyable and oh so contagious!
