the good cause

yesterday i attended the special olympics in garmisch patenkirchen.

special olympics are the games for mentally disabled people.

i was a volunteer at the snowshoe-run.

me and my team we had a great time and some good fun in the snow!

it was – again – a very good experience!

i can only recommend the special olympics, if not as volunteer, you should go there as visitor!

the athletes have great spirits and the games have a fantastic and catching atmosphere!

it goes with the slogan: everyone is a winner!

for me it is very important to give something back and i am very proud that my company supports the special olympics!

Kicking of 2013…

Now that we made it through the first weeks of 2013, it turns out that my New Year’s resolution of taking it slow and relaxing a bit more is already fading…

The first half-year seems already quite busy with big birthday parties (bunch of my girls, including me will turn 30 this yearK), dancing classes, and fitness classes, business trips, outside meetings, bachelor parties and weddings…

So… let’s see how 2013 will turn out. I think personally it will be an exciting year!

I am all into finding and buying a new (bigger) place for us, so this is my big goal for 2013!!

Keep your fingers crossed that we find our dream house/ apartment!

ago e rita

last Friday in italy we were partying up!

first we went to ago e rita!

i can only recommend this location to you when you are around! it is so great and actually very low key!

it is a very special concept that is absolutely brilliant:

no menu to choose from and dancing on the tables!

when you arrive (and you have to reserve a table!) you have already some wine, water and veggie sticks on the table!

after the healthy snack they serve you 2 different pastas and one risotto. If it is not enough you can always ask for a refill – but there is another course to come!

super delicious razor thin cut prosciutto and salami is provided on the tables.

coming with freshly baked bread and some spreads including – as we are in italy – nutella as kind of representing the desert.

of course the wine is also on refill ;-)

after you have eaten they serve some sorbet, espresso and yummy limoncello.

then the dancing starts!

they clear the table and you can feel free to dance on the benches, the tables or just on the floor!

it was soooo much fun! the wine, the food and the dancing!

earlier this year i had my bachelor party at the ago e rita and it was spectacular!

on our way home we stopped at the primo life club.

nice location with a very nice roof top - but the do not play my kind of music...

last weekend...

i spent in lazise at the wonderful lago di garda – me and 14 girls made a trip for an extended weekend!

it was just great! the weather is still hot and the food was great – as always in italy!!

at the residence la margherita we had 2 apartments and a great pool where I spent the whole saturday relaxing in the sun, doing nothing than reading and sunbathing!

i did not even feel the urge of shopping… 

i just enjoyed the warm sun and the laziness :-)

oh yes it's ladies night...

me and 15 girls are going to the movies this evening...

bank holiday

normally bank holidays are not my thing as the mostly turn out totally boring... but today was great!! the weather was great and we spent the whole day at the lake on a private balk with friends. we ended the day with a delicious bbq - perfect day!!

great mantra!!
